Our first stop was Koh Hong, known for its serene lagoons and crystal-clear waters. We kayaked through narrow channels surrounded by cliffs, marveling at the tranquility and the lush surroundings. Next, we arrived at the star of the journey, Koh James Bond, or Khao Phing Kan. This world-famous island, featured in The Man with the Golden Gun, is a sight to behold. Koh Tapu, the needle-shaped rock rising dramatically from the water, stood as a proud icon of the bay. Sawanu captured countless photos, while I reveled in the unique energy of the place, imagining the countless travelers who had shared our awe.

We didn’t miss the opportunity to explore the caves and lagoons nearby. Paddle in hand, we ventured into the shadows of limestone cliffs, discovering shimmering pools and unique stalactite formations. The peacefulness of these hidden corners was a contrast to the lively buzz of the main island, offering moments of quiet reflection.

Our island-hopping escapade wrapped up with a feast at a floating village. As the setting sun bathed the bay in golden hues, we enjoyed a meal of fresh seafood—grilled prawns, spicy squid, and a fragrant green curry that Sawanu couldn’t stop raving about.

The adventure of hopping from one stunning island to another, with Koh James Bond as the crown jewel, was nothing short of magical. Sharing it with Sawanu made the journey even more special, as we embraced the beauty of Phang Nga Bay together.
