A good day in Koh Racha

Racha Island, a day of clear skies, clear water, and a heart that felt light.

The morning in Phuket was beautifully bright, the kind of sky without a single cloud to interrupt the blue. A soft breeze brushed past as if whispering, “Today is a perfect day for the sea.” A car picked me up from my hotel and took me toward Racha Island—famous for its crystal‑clear water that looks like a natural swimming pool, and a place that always makes me feel at ease.

When I stepped onto the boat, my heart felt lighter right away. The engine slowly grew louder, but the sea breeze stayed gentle, brushing against my face as if saying, “No rush, no worries. Let the ocean take care of you today.”

Water so clear it felt like a glass bowl over sand

As the boat approached Racha Island, the sea shifted into a shade of blue so clear I could see the sandy bottom several meters below. It looked like a sunlit swimming pool laid softly over the sand, sparkling with every movement of the waves. I felt as though I was floating above another world—quiet, peaceful, and filled with a kind of happiness that made all my stress melt away.

The white sand was soft and fine like powder, contrasting beautifully with the bright blue water. Everything looked naturally perfect, the kind of beauty that doesn’t need any filters at all.

Snorkeling

A small, gentle world beneath the surface.

I slipped into the water at one of the clearest bays. Tiny fish swam past me as if greeting me, and soft-colored corals stretched out beneath the surface like a calm underwater garden. Floating on the water, looking down into that quiet world, felt like reading a book filled with stories the ocean had been writing for years.

A warm afternoon

Quiet waves and a clam heart.

In the afternoon, I sat on the beach and let the warm breeze brush across my face. The waves rolled in with a steady rhythm, like a lullaby written just for the shore. The sea was so still it looked like a painting, and I felt as though this moment was a small gift the island had placed gently in my hands.

A stop at coral island

Before heading back to Phuket, the boat made a stop at Coral Island. The water was just as clear, and the atmosphere felt playful and bright—like the day wasn’t ready to end just yet.

The ride back

A sky that didn’t want the day to end.

As the boat headed back toward Phuket, the afternoon sun reflected off the water in soft golden sparkles, as if saying a gentle goodbye. I watched the sea quietly and realized that coming to Racha Island wasn’t just a beach trip. It was a moment to rest my heart, breathe deeply, and remind myself that the world still holds places that are soft, beautiful, and quietly kind.
