An affordable way and much cheaper than taxi to travel from the airport to coastal locations is by bus for just ฿100. The bus passes several beach resort towns including Naiyang, Choeng Thale, Laguna, Bangtao, Surin, Kamala, Patong, Karon, Kata, and Rawai Beach. Inform the driver of your stop, but use GPS as a backup. For the return trip, wait at a safe spot along the bus route.
