The quiet beginning

Soft sunlight, slow hours

The afternoon felt gentle.
We sat together at Chaba Chabai Cafe,
a small place with warm colors
and that easy, familiar feeling
that makes you relax without trying.

And today felt even sweeter
because my neighbor paid for my meal here,
in this very cafe.
A simple kindness.
A warm gesture.
The kind of thing that softens the whole day
before the food even arrives.

You didn’t expect a lesson.
You just wanted something delicious.
But I’m Thai —
and sometimes the easiest way to teach my language
is through the dishes on the table.

So I let the menu become the teacher.
And I let you learn slowly,
